AKRON, Ohio -- A proposal that would require PGA Tour members to compete in certain tournaments passed its first test and is on track to be adopted before the end of the Fall Series. www.brandonsun.com via @golfingtweet &bull Jul 21, 2010RENO, Nev. - Matt Bettencourt will play in the PGA Championship for the first time thanks to an excellent eagle, pristine putting and a caddie who kept him calm. That he shot 1-over on the back nine just made it dramatic when Bob Heintz missed a three-foot putt on No. 18 that would have forced a playoff in the Reno-Tahoe Open. Instead, Bettencourt won for the first time on tour,… Full Story »

Admit it. Pretty much every round you've ever played, you've stood over a three-foot putt and wondered if you could drain it with a tournament on the line.
